Get Involved! We need volunteers to help out with all kinds of things at the Social Centre. You can teach workshops, organize events, catalogue zines, help with the website, give accounting advice, plan events, maintain the house, make posters, or work open hours. If you'd like to support us continuing to offer awesome affordable community resources and events but don't have any time you can always help out with some money. Ask about our Fan Club!
Our Mission: The Roberts Street Social Centre is a collection of projects dedicated to providing free or affordable access to independent and alternative media, art, and education. It is a space for people to come together to share skills, knowledge, and resources. We support critical, creative projects and inspire social change through DIY (do it yourself), non-hierarchical, and consensus-based approaches. We aim to be active in our communities by collaborating with other groups and projects. We strive to be inclusive, aware of barriers and discrimination, and welcoming to all ages.
